As autumn begins to mature and the air starts to cool, I begin to crave things like,
And warm and tender embraces with my man.
I have made a conscious decision NOT to begin to dread the coming of winter.
Right here in this ‘tween’ season is the best time to take stock of what your body is drawing you towards instead of fighting it.
Yes, it soon will be cold and the bikinis and summer swims at the beach will be put on hold, and walking on the sand barefoot won’t be quite as pleasant.
But let that go, summer will soon be back again.
Live in the now, and the now is beautiful.
Autumn to me is unfolding with this newfound mature approach of “not dreading the winter”.
I am going to allow autumn to guide me into the coming of the quiet time.
I will prepare myself and my home for:
But for now, I will allow autumn take me gently, softly transitioning from this season to the next.
I’d love to know how you feel about the changing of the seasons, please join the conversation below.
I recently had a request from a very special couple who have just moved into to their first rental property.
They had an experience that neither could explain, but they knew that something wasn’t quite right.
That’s when they came to me for help.
Whether you believe in spirits or not is not the issue here, this young couple felt what they felt and saw what they saw, and they were feeling uncomfortable.
They came to me and I gathered up my smudging and energy clearing tools and gave them some very simple steps to follow.
There are other reasons why you would do a smudging, such as, if you’re feeling like you are a bit stuck and always thinking negative thoughts, or you could even be feeling depressed, it could be because of some old energy in your house or energy that has stuck to you from work or another person.
Smudging can help this and clear the energy to help you feel fresh, alert and back on top. Your house and you will feel refreshed, light and re-energised.
Smudging is an ancient ceremony and is widely used throughout the world. I make smudging a monthly ritual in my home.
Why not give it a try, what do you have to lose?
Ever brought a piece of antique jewellery or been handed down some from days gone by?
Or maybe you have a love of handmade crystal jewellery or tumbled stones and crystals?
I recently brought myself a necklace, which jumped out at me and said, ‘I am yours’.
As you can see in the picture she is goddess with a stone surrounded by ‘Shiva Shakti' stones from India, followed by blood stone and fresh water pearls.
I felt a strong need to give my new necklace a fresh new vibe and a big cleanse.
Have you ever thought about what the person is like who polished and or made your piece into something shiny and beautiful?
Or thought about what the conditions were, in relation to your precious stones, crystals diamonds or gold?
Was it a fair trade?
Was, and is, the land being respected?
What has your treasure been through, right from being taken from its place of creation to you?
When I first heard of burying your old antique jewellery in the back yard, I thought “How silly are such wives’ tales” But hey! I’m a converted believer in some of the craziest tales of old wives tales.
Here are some simple steps that I have used in the past and these first steps work beautifully when you don’t have the ocean at your fingertips.
This method is good for old antique jewellery. Make sure you aren’t expecting rain!
Another way is to use the ocean (see photos below)
I’d be really interested in hearing how you cleanse and recharge your jewellery, perhaps another old wives’ tale?
I invite you to share your methods in the comments section below.
Love and many blessings Annie
Are you an active participant in creating, desiring, dreaming and manifesting your future?
If so, how do you go about manifesting your dreams and desires?
If not, read on.
Here are 5 VERY simple steps to manifesting your desires:
I'd love to hear your stories of magic manifesting, why not share them below.
I can confidently say that our one day Goddess retreat held in Merimbula was a success.
It was such a pleasure to have Jay of Pure Body Yoga join us and open the circle with some gentle and softly warming poses for the heart and base chakras.
We then moved into sacred circle with guided meditations to reconnect with the divine feminine within.
Even though it was an ‘Awaken the Goddess’ retreat I had a strong urge to call this gathering of women ‘Awaken the Queen’ retreat.
Each participant highly deserved the title of ‘Queen’ or perhaps ‘Queen Goddess’ as they are all equally worthy of such a title, being that this statement is simply a true fact.
Throughout the day our Queen Goddesses were treated to an array of tropical fruits and homemade hummus, tea from fine porcelain and divine chocolate.
We learnt how to do a healing on ourselves and for our loved ones and or friends.
We learnt about the importance of keeping our pelvic floor muscles exercised and I taught THE easiest method on how to do it.
We learnt discreet, effective and easy methods on how to warm our sexual muscles and clear out any blockages in our energy system.
We went deep into conversation like the women from the book ‘The Red Tent’.
We connected and ignited a communion of sisterhood and found reassurance, safety camaraderie, and kin.
I am blessed to have shared my first retreat with these Queens and look forward to holding my next workshop.
February was a big emotional month for me.
As I do at the beginning of each new year I sit and do a 12 month card reading for my year ahead. This year I had the joy of doing my 12 month reading with a friend.
I am truly beginning to see that when women work together the energy and quality of the work is enhanced, (it’s such a powerful reading).
Right at this moment I am going to make a conscious effort to collaborate with like-minded woman more.
Back to February, my card says cautious progress. I see a person sitting in contemplation, she has six swords scattered around her.
I see the swords as my family members with my husband and I together on the upper right and each of our children spread about.
This month my daughter turned 18 and went to Sydney with a friend for a small break and navigated airplanes, motels and city streets and transport on her own.
As much as I have full faith in this girl, my heart is a little tender for her becoming one step further away from being my little girl.
It’s been a full on busy summer here, friends’ parties, and some not so welcome behaviour, resulting in me playing chief fun police officer and pulling rank on more occasions than I would have liked. In saying that, it has also been a great summer of social activity and fun.
But in February, grown children and their partners flew the coup and our home went from having five permanent residents to having three, and even that’s changeable.
What a shock to the system. The dishwasher, the washing machine, the cook (me) all came to a sudden halt.
I am not quiet at the empty nest stage yet, though I have got a good idea of what it will be like.
I am not really needed anymore, and my home is mostly quiet and tidy.
I am beginning to enjoy the peace, I certainly don’t miss the cooking and the washing.
But I do miss my people.
In my February card I see this person has deep peace and the swords (my family) are closely circled around me.
I remind myself that I have done the best I can and to allow my feelings to be felt.
By drawing this card, I knew I was up for something big in February, I just didn’t realise it was going to be my home, my heart and my family. It was nice to be able to watch out for it as it allowed me go with the flow.
Have you ever had a card reading done, that you have looked back on and thought “Oh, that’s what that card means?”
